Driver’s Age
The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21 years , and the maximum age is 75 years. A Young Driver Surcharge of USD 15 per day applies to drivers aged 21 to 23.
There is no standard Senior Driver Surcharge; however, drivers over the age of 75 may be required to present medical clearance and obtain additional insurance coverage, subject to individual assessment.
Driver’s License
The renter and the driver have to be in possession of a full and valid driving license with no major endorsements with 2 years of experience Also, a valid ID card or passport would be required at time of pick up.
An International Driver’s License (IDL) and translation is mandatory if the international driver’s license is not in English/Roman alphabet. International driver license or the certified translation must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver for all countries.
Provisional driver’s licenses are not accepted.
The following documents are mandatory to present at the time of vehicle pick up: Personal ID card or passport and a valid driver’s license.
Insurance Coverage
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW):
It is not included in the rental amount.
CDW is not included in the rental rate. The excess amount up to which the renter will be liable in case of Collision and Theft ranges from US$300 to US$1,000 depending on the vehicle
Theft Waiver (THW)
It is not included in your rental amount.
The client's financial responsibility for loss or theft to the vehicle to the excess/deductible amount of USD 300 to 1000 applied depending on the vehicle category.
Third Party Liability (TPL)
It is included in your rental amount.
Third Party Liability only allows compensation up to a maximum of USD2,000 for third party property damage and USD3,000 for third party bodily injury.
Excess Reduction
Additional insurance options are available at the rental desk to reduce or eliminate the standard excess. A Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) offering zero excess is available for USD 10–25 per day, depending on the vehicle group.
For economy cars, standard sedans, and mid-size SUVs, a Zero-Excess Cover is available at a daily fee of USD 10, reducing the excess to zero.For larger vehicles such as 4x4 Double Cab Bakkies, executive sedans, and full-size SUVs, the excess can be reduced to a minimum of USD 250 with a daily fee of USD 20.
These options must be selected at the time of rental and are subject to availability.
Please Note:
1. A valid Police report is mandatory, in case of an incident/ accident / damage or theft. The customer must immediately inform the rental desk about the incident.
2.Any damage due to driver negligence or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or any other controlledsubstances is not covered by insurance.
3. Insurance doesn’t cover Windows and mirrors, wheels and tire, undercarriage, engine, the car’s interior, personal belongings, lost keys, extras such as GPS or child seats.
Fees
1. A fee of 80 will apply if the vehicle keys are lost or stolen.
2. The renter is responsible for the cost of any toll, traffic fine, parking fines, other penalties, and loss of vehicle keys/documents etc. incurred whilst the vehicle is contracted to them. The rental office will pass the relevant charges on to the renter plus any administrative expenses.
3. A fee of 50 will apply in case of loss of vehicle documents.
4. Smoking in the rented vehicle is prohibited. A fee of 50 will apply if the renter smokes in the vehicle.
5. A fee of 8 USD will apply to all contracts.
Early Returns/Unused Rental Days
No refunds (partial or full) will be given for rentals ended early including the purchase of ancillary items, late collections, no shows or cancellations made after the rental start date.
Breakdown Assistance
24/7 breakdown assistance is provided throughout Zimbabwe. This service is free of charge in the event of mechanical failure not caused by driver negligence.
For incidents resulting from driver-related issue, including but not limited to lost keys, flat batteries due to lights being left on, tyre damage from reckless driving, or running out of fuel, , depending on the distance and nature of the assistance required.
Fuel Policy
Vehicles are rented on a “same-to-same” fuel basis. The fuel level at the time of pick-up will be recorded and must be matched upon return.
If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than at pick-up, the renter will be charged for the missing fuel at the prevailing local fuel rate, plus a refueling service fee o. No refunds will be issued for excess fuel returned.
For longer rentals or self-drive cross-border hires, it is recommended to refuel only at reputable fuel stations and to retain fuel receipts in case verification is required.
Mileage Policy
A Limited Mileage policy of 200 kilometers per day applies to all rentals. If this limit is exceeded, an excess mileage fee will be charged as follows:
· Economy vehicles: USD 0.55 per km
· Compact and Standard sedans: USD 0.65 per km
· Mid-size SUVs and Minivans: USD 0.70 per km
· Full-size SUVs and Double Cab Bakkies: USD 0.95 per km
· Luxury vehicles: USD 1.00 per km
Excess mileage charges will be calculated and payable upon return of the vehicle.
Cross-Border Travel:
Cross-border travel is permitted to Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi, and Namibia. A one-time cross-border fee of USD 150 applies per rental. All cross-border travel must be pre-approved at the time of booking and noted in the rental agreement.
One-Way Drop-Off Charges
One-way rentals (cross-location drop-offs) are subject to a flat fee of 175 USD. This service is available only with prior confirmation and subject to vehicle availability.
VAT
VAT is included in the rental price and in the additional services.
Payment Methods
Visa and Master Credit Cards, Cash and Debit cards are accepted while paying at the rental desk.
Deposit
A refundable deposit of will be held through Credit cards or Cash.
Delivery and Collection:
Delivery and collection of the vehicle can be arranged to a local address or hotel within city limits. This service is available for an additional fee of and must be requested in advance.
Grace Period
For Late Pickups
2 Hour of grace period is provided, after that reservation will be assisted in case if vehicle is available or booking will be considered cancelled and no refund will be provided.
For Late Returns
2 Hour of grace period is allowed for late returns, after 2 hours 1 day charge will apply.
Out of Hours
Out of hours service is available without extra charge, need to book in advance.
Extras
Confirmation of Special Equipment’s depends upon the availability at the rental desk.
